The Role
As a Human Resources Business Partner at Thrive Market, you will play a critical role in supporting our Fulfillment Center operations and shaping the next generation of HR talent. The role will begin in a remote capacity, with significant travel required to train, learn our operational processes, and provide support across the Fulfillment Center network.
Following this onboarding / training period, the position will transition to an onsite role based in a designated Fulfillment Center location near Dallas, Texas. You will serve as a trusted advisor to leaders and associates, overseeing a full spectrum of HR functions while fostering a positive and engaging workplace culture. This role requires the flexibility to support a 24 / 7 operation, including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed, and reports directly to the HR Director based in Thrive Market's HQ Office in Los Angeles, CA.
This position will require up to 25% travel for training, operational support across the network (NV, IN, PA), and event participation at our Los Angeles HQ. It also offers a competitive relocation package and sign-on bonus for eligible candidates.
Responsibilities
Assist with preparation of Fulfillment Center opening activities including but not limited to recruiting, onboarding, workforce planning and leadership training and development.
Lead, mentor, and develop Human Resources Associates, training potential future HR Business Partners.
Build strong relationships with site leaders, associates, and cross-functional teams to proactively address challenges and drive engagement and retention efforts.
Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment and benefits laws through periodic audits.
Use data and analytics to identify trends, forecast workforce needs, and provide these insights to our onsite leadership to aid in the decision-making process.
Manage benefits administration, including reviewing benefits with employees and processing enrollments, cancellations, or changes.
Conduct detailed timecard and payroll register reviews to ensure accurate and timely payroll processing in partnership with your Human Resources Associate (HRA).
Manage the leave of absence processes, ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations as well as internal leave pay and processes.
Partner with the Talent Acquisition team as the primary point of contact for local hiring, while attending and hosting community events to build relationships and drive employer brand initiatives.
Maintain accurate HRIS records, employee roster, and compile necessary reports and insights.
Lead the investigation of employment related claims and facilitate conflict resolution.
Manage employee appreciation events, volunteering, and cultural activities to promote employee engagement.
Propose new approaches, policies, and procedures to enhance the efficiency of HR process and policies across the network.
Handle unemployment notices, represent the company for local unemployment claims, and manage workers' compensation case files.
Assist in preparing and facilitating training programs across various work groups and programs.
Collaborate with management to foster a positive work environment that values diverse talents, backgrounds and abilities.

Qualifications
Associate or bachelor's degree.
4+ years of progressive experience in Human Resources, with a strong understanding of basic practices and principles.
Experience in 24 hour distribution, fulfillment, or manufacturing, particularly with multiple shifts and a large hourly population (preferred).
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a history of providing honest, direct feedback while balancing candor with care and compassion.
Ability to navigate ambiguity, adapt to changing priorities, and exercise good judgment in stressful situations.
Detail-oriented, bias toward action mindset, and open to continuous improvement and change.
Proficiency in MS Office, Google Suite and HR Systems (i.e. HRIS, Greenhouse, I-9 Management).
Spanish language proficiency is a plus, but not required.
