Job Summary :
The Production Supervisor oversees daily machining operations, ensuring efficient production, adherence to quality standards, and compliance with safety regulations. This leadership role involves managing shop personnel, coordinating workflows, and troubleshooting production issues to meet customer specifications and delivery deadlines.
Key Responsibilities :
- Supervise and coordinate the activities of machine operators and technicians and support shop floor personnel working with area leads.
- Plan and prioritize production schedules to meet order deadlines while maintaining quality standards.
- Ensure compliance with aerospace industry regulations, safety protocols, and company policies.
- Monitor workflow, machine utilization, and employee performance to optimize productivity
- Inspect parts and processes to ensure compliance with aerospace quality standards (e.g., AS9100, NADCAP).
- Train and develop team members on equipment operation, safety practices, and quality procedures.
- Troubleshoot machining and production issues, including tooling, programming, and setup problems.
- Maintain accurate documentation related to production, including work orders, inspection reports, and compliance records.
- Collaborate with engineering and quality assurance teams to resolve production issues and implement process improvements.
- Enforce safety standards and promote a culture of safety awareness among staff.
- Conduct performance reviews and provide coaching to team members.
Qualifications :
High school diploma or equivalent; Associate degree or current technical certifications preferred.Proven experience in a supervisory role within an aerospace or precision machining environment.Strong knowledge of CNC machining, milling, turning, and other manufacturing processes.Familiarity with aerospace standards and regulations (e.g., AS9100, NADCAP).Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.Benefits :
