Your Role
The Intake and Crisis Supervisor provides administrative and clinical supervision to Intake Specialists the Intake Coordinator and Intake line staff. This position also completes crisis assessments onsite and in the community as needed. The Intake and Crisis Supervisor ensures all processes and procedures are followed regarding assessments and the 24 / 7 Intake line by ensuring proper staffing. This position is also responsible for managing Sertomas Intake Line and answering intake calls.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following although other duties may be assigned to meet the agency needs :
Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organizations policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include but are not limited to recruiting onboarding and training employees; performance management; and conflict resolution.
Provides oversight to CMHCs Intake Line and assure all new referrals are scheduled and linked with appropriate services.
Administers assessments to consumers onsite and in the community as needed. Complete all required documentation of services provided in compliance with Rule 132 and Rule 140 and agency policy ensuring that the philosophy of recovery is integrated in all aspects of service planning and delivery.
Builds and maintain relationships with local mental health providers community psychiatric hospitals law enforcement and other support services to expand and enhance support to individuals served.
Coordinates and assist with marketing of CMHC services through presentations to potential consumers family members and referral sources at various onsite and offsite locations.
Promotes awareness of mental health both internally and externally.
Provides coverage for the intake line as needed and maintain on-call availability for clinical support during evenings and weekends.
Other Duties :
Recognizes staff talents abilities and interests and provide guidance to staff in utilizing these attributes to enhance performance job satisfaction and overall department operations.
Provides open and authentic feedback on a regular basis and demonstrate support by utilizing active listening skills encouraging an open dialogue to build a strong rapport with staff.
Conducts regularly scheduled departmental meetings to ensure effective communication amongst the team and to provide a forum for input. Promote agency-wide teamwork through collaboration with other departments.
Ensure that staff use sound business and customer service practices in providing support to internal and external customers.
Communicates in a professional respectful and effective manner promoting an atmosphere that is responsive to the needs and desires of individuals served and reflects a commitment to the delivery of support in a person-centered manner.
Maintains an awareness of new developments in the field in order to promote and develop state of the art department programs and services for the agency.
Meets requirements and maintain compliance of applicable licensing funding accreditation and other state / federal regulatory agencies including safety requirements and agency policies and procedures.
Manage special projects and perform other duties / tasks as needed and / or assigned.
Qualifications
Masters degree in human services related field required. LPHA required within 6 months of hire.
Minimum of one-year experience working with individual with psychiatric disorders and working knowledge of the recovery model preferred.
Minimum of one-year previous supervisory experience.
Minimum of one-year experience working with and assessing individuals in crisis.
Effective communication skills both oral and written.
Valid drivers license and documentation of current auto insurance with an acceptable motor vehicle report.
Proficient in the use of computers software applications and working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite programs.
