Night Shift - 7 : 00 PM to 7 : 30 AM, rotating weekends.

Job Description

The Registered Nurse holds shift accountability for providing care to Emergency Room patients by utilizing the Nursing Process in accordance with the state Nurse Practice Act and hospital policy and procedures. The registered nurse demonstrates critical thinking skills, scientific judgment, and leadership in the anticipation and planning for the safe delivery of care to patients in the Emergency Department. The nurse maintains clinical competencies through continuing education and delegates patient care priorities based on the education and experience of the staff available, providing direction and supervision of assigned personnel delivering patient care.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive patient care in the Emergency Department.
• Utilize critical thinking and scientific judgment in nursing decisions.
• Lead and direct healthcare team members in patient care tasks.
• Maintain up-to-date clinical competencies through ongoing education.
