Job Summary

Assist with the preparation of periodic reports filed with the SEC (10-Q, 10-K, 8-K, etc.) and related supporting analysis. Perform peer research and create both detailed and executive level analysis based on research performed. Assist in the research and documentation of SEC disclosure requirements and technical accounting pronouncements as they arise. Develop and leverage relationships with other departments within the company and contribute to a positive teamwork environment. Perform special projects, as assigned, and interact with all levels of management.

Core Responsibilities

• Support with the accurate and timely preparation and filing of periodic reports with the SEC (such as Forms 10-Q, 10-K and 8-K)
• Prepare supporting documentation and analysis related to certain sections of our SEC filings (such as Managements Discussion and Analysis and Business Description)
• Assist in the preparation of quarterly and annual disclosure checklists to validate completeness and accuracy of required disclosures
• Conduct peer company benchmarking and create both detailed and executive level analyses based on research performed
• Assist with preparation and review of materials for quarterly earnings releases
• Assist in the preparation of materials related to external auditor independence and fees for reporting to the Audit Committee
• Communicate and coordinate with other groups within Corporate Accounting & Reporting, Divisions and other Corporate functions in connection with the planning for and preparation of periodic reports
• Communicate with and coordinate requests for internal and external auditors
• Assist with the coordination and review of third-party service provider in eXtensible Business Reporting Language (XBRL) format in SEC filings
• Assist with research and implementation of new accounting standards and regulation changes specific to Form 10-K / Q reporting
• Identify and drive opportunities for process improvements and automation
• Consistent exercise of independent judgment and discretion in matters of significance.
• Regular, consistent and punctual attendance. Must be able to work nights and weekends, variable schedule(s) and overtime as necessary.

Bachelors Degree While possessing the stated degree is preferred, Comcast may also consider applicants who hold some combination of coursework and experience, or who have extensive related professional experience.
