Overview

Responsible for creating diagrams for Gas Utility Pipeline projects. The Piping CAD Designer will be responsible for preparing layout and design of systems using Aveva E3D / Aveva P&ID modeling software. This position will function under the direction of Lead Designer. This position is responsible for understanding and completing drawings in accordance with client specifications.

Responsibilities

Prepare layout and design of oil & gas piping design systems using PRIMARILY AVEVA (P&ID, E3D, ect). Knowledge and experience with AutoCAD Plant 3D software also highly desired.

• Producing quality piping design layouts, orientation of process equipment and interconnecting piping.
• Generating Piping Line List and Tie-In list when required.
• Assist engineers and designers in resolving piping design issues.
• Calculating layouts of rights-of-way and / or street dimensions and angles.
• Generating Iso-Metric Drawings using AVEVA E3D and / or Plant 3D.
• Constructing dimensional relationships of one part to another and a relationship of various parts to entire project, utilizing knowledge of engineering practices and mathematics.
• Creating a preliminary and / or final sketch of proposed drawing, using computer-assisted design / drafting equipment.
• Incorporate redlines provided by the project engineer.
• Ability to validate design information (material spec, constructability, etc.).
• Ability to work in a team environment.

Wage Data Per State Requirements

Salary range for this position is $65,000 - $95,000. The starting salary will be commensurate with skill, education, experience, and working environment.
