Job Summary
The Associate Dean for Faculty Success, Research & Industry Partnerships (AD‑FRIP) reports to the Dean and serves on the IDS leadership team. The AD‑FRIP is responsible for planning and advancing the College’s faculty success, research and creative activity (RSCA), and external engagement agendas. This includes faculty recruitment / retention / evaluation support; research development and compliance; facilitation of interdisciplinary, societally engaged research; and development of mutually beneficial partnerships with industry, community, and government that enhance faculty RSCA, experiential learning, and workforce pipelines. The AD‑FRIP ensures alignment with university policies and collaborates closely with the Division of Research & Innovation, University Personnel / Faculty Affairs, and the SJSU Research Foundation.

Anticipated Hiring Range : $14,584 / month – $15,417 / month
CSU Salary Range : $6,891 / month – $22,119 / month
The final hiring salary will be commensurate with experience.
