Business Development Director - Nasa / Noaa
ASRC Federal is seeking an experienced Business Development Director, principally supporting NASA / NOAA customers within the Space Operating Group market. This position will report to the Vice President of Business Development. The ideal candidate will have proven track record working all phases of business development and capture across a broad spectrum of customers and capabilities and have a proven record of successful shaping of technical opportunities within the NASA and NOAA market, along with implementing and executing unique approaches to identifying new opportunities that lead directly to business growth. The position can be remote, but candidates must be willing to travel frequently to client sites and the Reston, VA HQ Office. Our Business Development Director will work as an integral part of the Space Operating Group NASA and NOAA portfolio. Candidates will collaborate closely with the Space Operating Group Business Development Vice President, along with the Operating Group and Division leadership to create and execute overall strategy to maximize revenue and profit for the company. Key responsibilities include successfully leading and owning applicable steps in the business development lifecycle, getting out in front of emerging opportunities to incrementally improve win probability, positioning the organization to craft a compelling technical and pricing solution while identifying and managing risk, having a proven record of executing unique approaches to opportunity identification and business growth, developing detailed and thorough briefing materials and presenting at gate reviews to the senior leadership team, working across the ASRC Federal enterprise to ensure opportunities are adequately resourced and supported, and collaborating with other internal leaders and functional teams to develop and mature opportunities in our National Security Space and U.S. Space Force markets.
Requirements include a Bachelor's Degree and 12+ years of experience leading strategic Captures or a Master's Degree with 10+ years of prior relevant experience, existing NASA customer relationships, existing NOAA customer relationships, proven ability to derive strategic solutions and win themes against vaguely defined requirements, success in leading multiple opportunities simultaneously at various stages of the opportunity lifecycle, aptitude to perform at high levels in a fast paced, matrixed environment with minimal or no supervision, excellent interpersonal, oral, written, and presentation communication skills, flexibility to work and lead teams through remote, in-office, or in a classified environment based on opportunity requirements and business need, and current Secret Clearance or eligibility to obtain a Secret Security Clearance is required.
