Senior Developer Relations Engineer, Google Labs

Google Labs, Mountain View, CA, USA ; Boulder, CO, USA ; San Francisco, CA, USA

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, a similar technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 5 years of work experience in a technical role (e.g., software engineering, solutions consultant, etc.) or equivalent technical experience.

Preferred qualifications :

Experience building with AI developer tools.

Experience with educational content creation such as technical videos, written blog posts, or social media posts.

Experience contributing to open source.

  • Ability to take ownership of solutions and exert influence without authority.
  • Ability to navigate and grow in early stage or ambiguous environments.

Part community manager and part developer advocate, Developer Relations Engineers collaborate with developers at conferences and online, and advocate for developers interests internally at Google.

    In this role, you will help shape how developers discover, understand and succeed with Jules. You’ll be the connective tissue between our product and its community, building in public, shipping content that teaches, and ensure every interaction with Jules reflects our values.

    Responsibilities

  • Create sample projects, devlogs, walkthroughs, and videos that show what Jules can do, and how.
  • Connect directly with developers. Host meetups and workshops on multiple social media platforms. Track the pulse of the community.
  • Shape the onboarding and document experience. Work with product managers and design to evolve the way developers learn and build with Jules.
  • Own the public narrative, help define Jules tone of voice and presence in technical channels.
  • Gather feedback and pain points, synthesize patterns, and advocate for improvements.

    The US base salary range for this full-time position is $156,000-$229,000 + bonus + equity + benefits.
