Job descriptionBachelor's degree in Civil Engineering. P.E. license required. At least 5 years of experience in structural engineering. Proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD. Strong background in structural design and detailing. Experience with IMP and cold room facilities. Good problem-solving and communication skills. Attention to detail and quality. Ability to handle multiple projects and deadlines. Strong teamwork and collaboration skills. Experience in energy-efficient design for cold storage / refrigeration. Knowledge of codes and standards for cold rooms and IMP. Familiarity with sustainable design / LEED practices. Experience with advanced analysis tools (e.g., SAP2000, ETABS).
Overview
Our client is looking for an experienced Structural Engineer to join their team. This role focuses on projects involving Insulated Metal Panels (IMP) and cold room / clean room facilities in the life sciences sector.
Responsibilities
- Design and analyze structures, especially with IMP and cold room projects.
- Create construction drawings and specs using Revit and AutoCAD.
- Ensure compliance with building codes and standards.
- Work with architects, contractors, and engineers to integrate designs.
- Conduct site visits to review conditions and monitor construction.
- Provide guidance to junior engineers and review their work.
- Prepare reports, project documents, and presentations.
- Join project meetings and advise on design and material selection.
