Requirements
What You Will Do :
Assist the Quality Manager in implementation and delivery of AS 9100, Rev. D quality system.Maintain a safe and clean working environment.Responsible for providing the project manager and operations team with quality deliverables required by Harmony's customers.Accountable for completion of all quality testing, measurement and calibration as determined by the Quality Manager.Examine product and processes to verify conformance to the Quality Standards / Specifications.Issue Quality Alerts for internal / external Quality issues and ensure proper communication is completed throughout the entire team.Identify Executional Quality issues and ensure product containments for non-conforming material are properly completed.Coordinate and lead MRB meetings on a daily basis and report findings to department head.Develop checklist and audits to the Quality Standards / Specifications and audit the results.Oversee completion of Input / output processes.The position is also responsible for troubleshooting and analyzing foundry system operations based on quality data collected.Determine and implement the exact needs of the client, based on Harmony Castings procedures.Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; benchmarking best-in-class practices.Participate in monthly company-wide meetings.Required Skills and Experience :
Strong background in CAD, Solid Works Modeling, with ability to read and interpret drawings.Excellent interpersonal skills that include strong communication, teamwork and active listening.Work independently by achieving goals with minimal supervision.Strong problem solving skills using root cause analysis.Ability to multitask and demonstrate excellent organizational and time management skills.Familiarity with aluminum castings concepts, practices and procedures.More about the position :
The quality engineer spends significant time on the shop floor working alongside our skilled foundry workers to ensure best practices.The employee will be exposed to an environment where hearing, eye safety and safety shoes with metatarsals are required.This position requires periods of sitting and viewing computer monitor, as well as lifting of cast parts for review on CMM.Our ideal candidate is willing to work off-shifts to ensure extended engineering staffing throughout our plant.Pay Range : 60K- 65K based on experience
