We’re hiring a Sheet Metal Fabricator for our growing client in the Southwest Houston area.

We are looking for an experienced, reliable, hard-working employee to join our client’s team!

DESCRIPTION OF YOUR DREAM JOB :

Job Title : Metal Fabricator

Location : Southwest Houston area

Pay : $17.50 per hour

Hours : Monday- Friday 7am-5pm

Duration : Temp to Perm

Description of Duties :

Use system level prints for reference as the customer authorized print to ensure accuracy of product.

Fabricate parts to dimensional specifications on prints and drawings. Compare to requirements on the system level prints to ensure accuracy.

Inspect and initial the 1st, middle, and last piece of each work order run per operations.

Ensure edges of materials are square and free of burrs and sharp edges. File of grind edges if required.

Neatly stack and move materials to quality check points in a logical and organized manner.

Ensure all parts are checked and conform to print specifications.

Comply with all quality requirements including policies, procedures, and work instructions.

Perform your work with the utmost pride, skilled craftsmanship, and a focus on quality and productivity.

Watch for defective material, scratches, dents, grooves, or poor workmanship from previous operations.

Requirements :

Experience working in a metal fabrication department with appropriate skills.

Ability to use measuring devices such as calipers, protractor, micrometers, height gauges, and tape measures.

Ability to read and interpret customer and company drawings and blueprints.

Ability to use CNC operated machinery if position requires it.

Able to effectively change machinery for multiple set-ups given various product lines and material requirements.

Able to lift at least 40lbs. frequently.

Must be familiar and able to use hand tools.

At least 2 years of experience operating and programming the above-mentioned equipment
