Job Title : AWS Data Architect

Job Overview :

We are seeking a highly skilled AWS Data Architect to join our team and lead the design, development, and optimization of cloud-based data systems using AWS technologies. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in SQL , AWS (DynamoDB, Redshift) , and data governance initiatives. This role requires excellent communication skills, the ability to innovate within data systems, and hands-on experience with data management and visualization tools.

Key Responsibilities :

Design and implement AWS-based data architectures , focusing on data governance, management, and security.

Lead the development of data pipelines , integrating SQL-based databases (e.g., DB2 , Redshift ) with cloud-based solutions, ensuring scalability and reliability.

Collaborate with business teams to define data governance strategies and data management processes.

Work closely with stakeholders to understand data requirements, ensure alignment, and drive effective data solutions.

Support the integration of AWS DynamoDB , Redshift , and other relevant AWS data services into the data architecture.

Develop and maintain data models , ETL pipelines, and data storage systems using AWS technologies.

Assist in the creation of data visualization reports and dashboards to support business decisions.

Manage and maintain SharePoint and JIRA for tracking data projects and deliverables.

Provide technical leadership in SQL writing, data modeling, and AWS-related data systems.

Ensure effective communication and collaboration across teams to support data initiatives and resolve technical challenges.

Key Skills and Expertise :

AWS Data Services : Experience with DynamoDB , Redshift , and other AWS tools for building and optimizing cloud data systems.

SQL : Strong experience with SQL -based databases (e.g., DB2 ), writing complex queries for data management and transformation.

Data Governance & Management : At least 2+ years working on data governance and data management initiatives.

Data Visualization : Experience in data visualization techniques and tools (e.g., Power BI , Tableau , or AWS-native tools).

Business Analyst Experience : At least 5+ years of experience in a business analyst function , focusing on data-driven projects and collaboration with cross-functional teams.

Collaboration Tools : Experience with SharePoint , JIRA , and related collaboration tools for managing projects and tracking progress.

Presentation Skills : Excellent presentation skills with the ability to convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

Microsoft Office : Proficiency with Excel , Visio , PowerPoint , and Docs for reporting, modeling, and documenting processes.

Qualifications :

5+ years of experience in data architecture with strong expertise in AWS data services .

3+ years of experience with SQL-based databases like DB2 , Redshift , and experience in writing SQL queries for complex data management tasks.

2+ years of experience in data governance , supporting initiatives related to data management, security, and compliance.

Strong experience in data visualization and working with tools like Power BI , Tableau , or AWS-native services.

4-year college degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related technical field (or equivalent work experience).

Proven experience working in a business analyst role, focusing on data and analytics.

Desired Skills :

Ability to innovate and develop breakthrough ideas to solve complex data challenges.

Technical leadership experience, with a track record of delivering high-performance data solutions in AWS environments.

Familiarity with cloud-based data platforms and MLOps principles is a plus.
