Job description

Are you an experienced Orthopaedic Surgeon looking for a rewarding locum tenens opportunity? A healthcare facility near Sebring, Florida, is seeking a board-certified Orthopaedic Surgeon to join their team. This is an exciting opportunity to provide essential care in a supportive and well-equipped environment.

Position Highlights :

Start Date : January 6, 2025
Duration : Ongoing
Schedule :

Clinical hours plus call coverage

Includes holiday coverage for major U.S. holidays

Patient Load :

35 patients per shift

1020 beds in the department

Assigned patient rounding

Practice Details :

Setting : Inpatient only

Call Details :

Call response time : 15 minutes

Phone consults : Approximately 2 per day

Call-back rate : 60%

Specialty Skills Required :

Arthroscopy

Total joint replacement (hip and knee)

Joint revision and repair

Shoulder, hand, and tendon release / repair procedures

Spine procedures (cervical, thoracic, lumbar)

Qualifications :

Board Certification : Required in Orthopaedic Surgery

Fellowship training preferred but not mandatory

Active medical license for Florida

Minimum 30-day credentialing timeframe

Support and Resources :

Strong support staff, including registered nurses, medical assistants, and advanced practice providers

EMR systems : Cerner and Athena

Additional Information :

Travel and lodging covered by the vendor

No requirement to supervise residents or teaching responsibilities

Trauma and pediatrics levels : N / A
