UI / UX Engineer Job at Wraithwatch in Austin

Wraithwatch was founded by alumni from SpaceX, Palantir, and Anduril to build the next generation of AI-powered cyber defense systems for the United States and its allies. We are deployed today to customers spanning aerospace, defense, manufacturing, and emerging technology.

Our core product, Wraithwatch Commander, is a continuously adaptive cyber defense platform utilizing generative artificial intelligence agents to autonomously model and construct a digital twin of an organization’s entire IT and cybersecurity environment and analyze it for weaknesses, misconfigurations, and chains of possible attack. Specialized offensive and defensive AI agents work together in a process of adversarial co-evolution in order to detect novel attack paths that exist in a customer network and rapidly develop correlative defense strategies. Users are able to visualize, manipulate, and command the system through an intuitive and futuristic interface.

Responsbilities

The UI / UX Engineer will design, develop, and deploy immersive, state-of-the-art user interfaces that facilitate intuitive interactions with generative AI agents and associated infrastructure. You will collaborate closely with ML Engineers, AI Researchers, and Cybersecurity Specialists to innovate user-centered approaches for tasking and monitoring autonomous multi-agent cyber operations (offensive and defensive). Additionally, you will integrate front-end systems with backend services, databases, and ML pipelines to effectively surface actionable insights.

• Architect, implement, and maintain scalable front-end application Model–View–Controller.
• Write modular, maintainable, and extensible code that supports evolving complexity and functionality.
• Develop and execute comprehensive tests for data flow integrity and user interaction.

Qualifications

Basic

5+ years of experience designing, developing, and maintaining interactive web applications involving complex visualizations such as knowledge graphs, 3D models, and ML data representations.

Demonstrated ability to conceptualize and execute user interface designs through well-structured, high-quality code.

Expert proficiency in React, Redux, and TypeScript.

Strong understanding of backend development workflows and familiarity with Node.js and Python environments.

Proficiency (or rapid adaptability) in Three.js and GraphQL.

Solid grasp of modern programming paradigms and industry best practices.

Attention to detail in executing beautiful designs.

Preferred

Experience with shader programming (GLSL, WebGPU).

Proficiency in collaborative UI / UX tools such as Figma.
