Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

A full-semester contract position is available for a Special Education Teacher focused on K-2 students for the 2025-2026 school year. This opportunity is based in an elementary school setting in Barre, VT. The caseload will consist of 15-20 students requiring specialized support and tailored instructional strategies.

Qualified candidates must hold a valid Vermont Agency of Education (VT AOE) Special Education license. Experience working with early elementary students in special education settings is essential to meet the developmental and academic needs of this age group effectively.

Key Responsibilities :

• Deliver individualized and small group instruction to K-2 students with diverse learning needs
• Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) in collaboration with families and multidisciplinary teams
• Utilize evidence-based teaching methods to support academic, social, and behavioral growth
• Maintain accurate records and progress reports in alignment with state and school guidelines
• Collaborate closely with general education teachers and support staff to promote inclusion and student success
