Mental Health Therapist
The Mental Health Therapist will assist clients to overcome or learn to live with their psychological disorders. The Mental Health Therapist will meet with clients to access and diagnose the client.
Therapist will then utilize CBT and other techniques to develop a course of therapy.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities :
- with clients and assess their mental state, identify behavioral patterns and emotional complications.
- with clients according to COMAR regulations to provide group and individual therapy. Record group and therapy notes in ICANotes according to COMAR regulations.
- and implement systems to ensure optimal direct client care.
- for knowledge of and adheres to COMAR regulations and HIPPA laws.
- other duties as assigned by immediate supervisor.
Education & Experience Requirements :
- Degree in Mental Health
- have an active state license (LCPC, LGSW, LGPC, LMSW, LCSW)
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities :
- have excellent problem solving, decision-making, as well as analytical skills.
- have very good verbal and written communication skills.
