As a Security Professional - Flex Logistics Driver in Lenexa, KS, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. As a Flex Part-Time Security Officer, you'll use our exclusive Claim a Shift platform to view and pick up open shifts based on your availability-giving you the freedom to build a schedule that works for you, while gaining valuable site experience across various industries. As an Access Control Officer with Allied Universal at a busy logistics and distribution location, you will monitor entry and exit points, conduct routine patrols, and remain highly visible to help deter security-related incidents. Your commitment to providing outstanding customer service and clear communication will create a welcoming environment for all visitors and staff. This position requires a valid driver's license, as you may be responsible for mobile patrols or responding to incidents across the site. Pay Rate : $18.75 / Hour

Job Schedule : DayTimeSat02 : 00 PM - 10 : 00 PM

What You'll Do :

  • Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
  • Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
  • Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
  • Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
  • Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities :

  • Perform access control duties at the location, verifying credentials and monitoring entry and exit of personnel, vehicles, and visitors.
  • Assist with visitor management, including issuing badges and maintaining accurate logs of individuals entering and leaving the premises.
  • Help to deter unauthorized access and / or suspicious activity by maintaining a visible presence at entrances and key access points.
  • Provide customer service by responding to inquiries and assisting employees, drivers, and visitors as needed.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following site-specific protocols.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the facility and perimeter to observe and report security-related concerns.
  • Follow all site-specific policies, procedures, and Allied Universal guidelines relevant to access control and security-related tasks.
  • Communicate clearly and promptly with site management and Allied Universal supervisors regarding any incidents, concerns, or irregularities.

    • Minimum Requirements :

  • A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and / or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
