Mainframe Database Administrator

About the Role : We're seeking an experienced Mainframe Database Administrator to join our Atlanta team for a 6-month IT infrastructure project. You'll be responsible for administering and maintaining critical DB2 mainframe databases and associated enterprise tools in a mission-critical environment.

What You'll Do :

• Administer and maintain IBM DB2 databases on mainframe systems
• Manage database performance tuning and optimization using IBM tools
• Handle database backup, recovery, and disaster recovery procedures
• Monitor system performance using CA Insight, Netview, and IBM monitoring tools
• Execute database migrations, updates, and maintenance using specialized tools
• Manage data replication and CDC (Change Data Capture) processes
• Troubleshoot database issues and provide technical support
• Collaborate with application teams on database design and optimization
• Maintain database security protocols and access controls
