We are currently interviewing for Instructional Assistants to work with children of all ages with disabilities. Paraprofessionals are essential in the classroom and help bring comfort and assistance that allow kids to achieve their goals.

No experience working as a Assistant? No worries! We are looking for professionals with patience and a passion for working with kids.

Instructional Assistant pay ranges from $20 to $22 / hr

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :

Help develop knowledge and skills, nurture the confidence and character, and meet the needs of all students by using Connections Academy instructional models, strategies, and curriculum, under the guidance of the teaching professional.

Assist students with any educational, physical, and health needs.

Supervise small group and individual student learning activities in the classroom.

Assist the teacher in applying remediation for diagnosed learning problems and assist students in testing situations.

Assist the teacher in applying intervention and prevention strategies to facilitate student achievement.

Tutor individual students or small groups.

Assess student progress.

Consult with the teacher on methodology, classroom management, or instructional approach.

Perform clerical work relevant to assigned students as assigned by the special education teacher.

Other duties, as assigned

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS :

1. Listening and speaking skills.

2. Moving and lifting of materials, supplies, etc.

3. Reaching high and low shelving and / or files.

4. Visually observing student behavior.
