Our client is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Human Resources Analyst (HRA) to join our their team. This is an on-site position located in Providence, RI.
Key Responsibilities of the Human Resources Analyst
The HRA serves as the critical communication link and provides support for end-to-end leave of absence and disability case management, ensuring comprehensive and consistent compliance with federal and state mandates.
- Case Management Support : Act in a support capacity to the team in managing a caseload, organizing priorities, and providing timely intervention to meet quality standards for case management related to FMLA, ADA, Workers’ Compensation, and general leaves of absence.
- Customer Service & Communication : Ensure high-quality customer service, acting as the primary communication link between employees, management, and other HR teams regarding leave of absence and medical disability cases.
- Compliance & Guidance : Ensure that management understands the employer’s responsibilities concerning federal and state leave mandates, including FMLA, ADA, and Workers’ Compensation.
- Documentation & Administration : Receive, track, and manage all necessary documentation, notification, correspondence, and administrative details related to leaves and case management activities. Handle sensitive information confidentially.
- Data Analysis & Reporting : Compile, review, and analyze data for follow-up with unit staff, and prepare reports and recommendations for presentation to senior leadership.
- Program Administration : Assist in the administration of the Disability Management program, which includes EAP leaves, disability retirements, and addressing job performance and behavior problems in the workplace.
Required Qualifications & Skills of the Human Resources Analyst
The successful candidate will demonstrate a strong foundation in HR principles and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
Knowledge Base : Basic understanding of state and federal laws concerning disability management and the general principles governing collective bargaining agreements. Knowledge of leave of absence and disability management programs is highly desirable.Interpersonal & Communication Skills : Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills with the capacity to communicate effectively across multiple state agencies and levels of management. The ability to build relationships and establish credibility is essential.Organizational & Analytical Skills : Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities. Possess well-developed critical analysis and decision-making skills.Technical Skills : Experience with HRIS systems; experience with Workday is preferred. Strong data-base management skills.Adaptability : The ability to adapt to change and manage a demanding, fast-paced workload.Salary : $23-$27 per hour
