Job description

The Director of Corporate Partnerships will manage all the corporate sales and partnership efforts for Creighton athletics. This position is responsible for developing new multi-year partnerships as well as renewing existing partnerships. This individual will cultivate client-direct relationships across top brands on a local, regional and national level with a focus on maximizing revenue for the athletic department while also successfully bolstering the brand of the corporate partner by using traditional, digital and non-traditional media opportunities.

  • Lead all facets of the individual sale cycle including prospecting, researching / qualifying leads, securing face-to-face appointments, ideating sponsorship solutions tailored to prospect business goals, proposal development, presenting final proposal, negotiation, contract generation.
  • Work cross-functionally with all departments to create comprehensive sponsorship proposals, while ensuring a high level of internal communication.
  • Employ the latest prospecting tools, research data, and market knowledge to develop effective, brand-centric sales positioning.
  • Understand prospective partner brands and their competitors to develop solution-based platforms to amplify partners' brands and achieve their marketing objectives.
  • Build, maintain and grow Creighton athletics' relationships with partners, anticipating and resolving any issues that arise.
  • Ensure partner generate maximum value from partnership and communicate value appropriately.
  • Responsible for generating incremental revenue and growth opportunities with all accounts
  • Meet and / or exceed sales expectations of new business revenue.
  • Effective management of current staff : (1) graduate assistant
  • Ability to potentially manage additional staff (i.e., account executive)

Qualifications :

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited College / University.
  • 5-7+ years in sales, marketing, account management and / or brand management
