Position : Nuclear Medicine Technologist - Full-Time
Sign-On Bonus : Up to $1,500 for eligible applicants
Location : San Martin Oncology Clinic - Intermountain Health
Schedule : Monday - Friday, 7 : 00 AM - 4 : 00 PM

Essential Functions
Maintain ARRT or modality-specific competency in all clinical and technical functions
Ensure proper patient identification, order verification, and exam preparation
Perform exams per department protocol; review images for quality and accuracy
Adhere to radiation safety guidelines and maintain a safe work environment
Follow NRC, Division of Radiation Control, and other regulatory agency standards
Complete studies within acceptable timeframes without compromising care
Assist and instruct students and other technologists in procedures and equipment use
Provide patient education, ensure comfort, and address concerns
Practice proper infection control and sterile techniques
Operate imaging equipment and related systems to ensure quality results
Maintain accurate records per state and Joint Commission requirements
Follow protocols for medical necessity, coding, charging, consents, QC, and equipment reporting

Minimum Qualifications
Current license in state of practice
Clinical board certification (ARRT or NMTCB)
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
IV certification
One year of clinical Nuclear Medicine experience
Preferred Qualifications
One year of clinical PET / CT experience
Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution
Physical Requirements :
Ongoing need for employee to see and read information, labels, assess patient needs, operate monitors, identify equipment and supplies.
Frequent interactions with patient care providers, patients, and visitors that require employee to verbally communicate as well as hear and understand spoken information, alarms, needs, and issues quickly and accurately, particularly during emergency situations.
Manual dexterity of hands and fingers to manipulate complex and delicate equipment with precision and accuracy. This includes frequent computer use and typing for documenting patient care, accessing needed information, medication preparation, etc.
Expected to lift and utilize full range of movement to transfer patients. Will also bend to retrieve, lift, and carry supplies and equipment. Typically includes items of varying weights, up to and including heavy items.
Need to walk and assist with transporting / ambulating patients and obtaining and distributing supplies and equipment. This includes pushing / pulling gurneys and portable equipment, including heavy items. Often required to navigate crowded and busy rooms (full of equipment, power cords on the floor, etc.)
May be expected to stand in a stationary position for an extended period of time.
