The Product Evaluation Technician plays a key role in supporting the day-to-day operations and long-term objectives of the Operations department. This position is responsible for performing assembly, testing, and troubleshooting of production units and returned equipment in accordance with established procedures and quality standards.
Department Specific Duties and Responsibilities
- Support the daily production and long term goals of the Operations department.
- Meet and exceed Engineering, Production and Quality expectations set forth in manufacturing.
- Follow all standard operating procedures (SOP) and provide input for process improvements.
Position Specific Duties and Responsibilities
Lead and assist in product evaluations and investigations, as directed, on production units and returned equipment, and document findings.Perform all assembly operations, assemble all components and sub-assemblies in compliance with applicable written procedures.Perform required production operational tests in compliance with Quality requirements to insure optimal performance of finished product.Perform required manufacturing tests in compliance with Quality requirements to insure optimal performance of finished product.Role Specific Duties and Responsibilities
Adhere to investigation priorities per procedures and policies in collaboration with Quality, Global Logistics and other departments as required.Perform all Production Service operations to the highest degree of reliability while in compliance with applicable written procedures.Assists with product improvements and associated testing.Support production, as directed, to perform routine and preventative maintenance on select facilities equipment to ensure efficient and safe operation.Perform all necessary related tasks with minimal supervision.Responsibility and Authority Affecting Quality
Initiate action to prevent the occurrence of any nonconformities relating to the product, process and Quality System.Identify and record potential problems relating to the product, process and Quality System.Requirements :
Skills and abilities (required for the job)
Read and interpret component drawings, specifications and electrical schematics used in all aspects of assembly procedures.Basic understanding of required equipment operation.Operate all necessary equipment and tools required in assembly operations in accordance with manufacturer’s recommendations and labeling.Ability and willingness to identify requirements of internal and external customers and satisfy them in accordance with regulations and companyQuality policies.Ability to be flexible in accommodating changes in work prioritization based upon customer and organizational needs.Ability to develop and maintain positive working relationships with managers, supervisors and coworkers.Knowledge of applicable health, safety and environmental standards; knowledge of medical device manufacturing regulations and standards a plus.Effective oral communication, writing, and organizational skills.Education, experience and training (required for the job)
High School diploma or equivalent3 to 5 years of electronic equipment experience or equivalentBasic computer skillsAbility and willingness to identify requirements of internal and external customers and satisfy them in accordance with regulations and company Quality policiesAbility to develop and maintain positive working relationships with coworkers, supervisors, subordinates.Knowledge of applicable health, safety and environmental standardsA team playerWorking environment
Work Station Area : Office / Driver Manufacturing AreaSpecial Factors in the Work Area : NoneThe working environment is indoors and is seasonally heated and cooled.The position requires the ability to move objects of less than 70 pounds.The position requires the ability to communicate in person, telephonically and via email.No food or drink in the Driver Manufacturing Area.
