Position : Pharmacist
Location : Philadelphia PA
Work Hours-Monday -Friday 8 : 30AM-5 : 00PM / Closed Weekends and most major federal holidays
Description
Primary Role : You will be partnering with the Pharmacy Manager, preparing and dispensing appropriate pharmaceuticals to patients. The job entails a high level of responsibility and knowledge.
Essential Job Functions :
- Review and execute provider's prescriptions checking their appropriateness and legality
- Organize the pharmacy in an efficient manner to make the identification of products easier and faster
- Maintain full control over medication inventory, stocking and labeling medicine and other products and monitor their condition to prevent expiring or deterioration
- Listen carefully to customers to interpret their needs and issues and offer information and advice.
- Prepare medicine when appropriate using correct dosages and material for each individual patient
- Maintain patient profiles and history of all activities regarding medications dispensed
- Keep abreast and stay current with HIPAA and Frauds Waste and Abuse credentialing
- Comply with all applicable legal rules, regulations, and procedures
- Responsible for ensuring that the Pharmacy and its employees are compliant with Federal, State and Local laws regulated
- Ensures that the Pharmacy and its employees are aware and compliant with local facilities policies
- Responsible for directing the daily work of Pharmacy Technicians, this includes providing input into performance evaluations and advising Senior Management of any behavioral and / or performance issues.
- Responsible for managing the Pharmacy Technicians schedules. This includes advising Senior Management of any request for leave of absences or medical accommodations.
- Other duties as necessary

Required Education & Skills :
Current License to practice (PharmD) in PennsylvaniaExcellent oral, written skillsExperience :
Previous leadership role helpfulPrevious experience utilizing patient management system4 years related pharmacy experiencePhysical Requirements :

Skills and Certifications 4-5 years retail pharmacy experience and min. 3 years pharmacy management experience preferred.Great leadership, communication and management skills
