About The Position

Job Title : Registered Nurse

Must-Have :

• Oncology experience preferred but not required
• Flexibility in scheduling is essential
• Previous travel experience preferred
• Epic experience required
• Must be able to float within units of equivalent or lower level of acuity

Description :

This position is for a Registered Nurse in the Medical / Surgical Oncology specialty.

The role involves working primarily night shifts.

The nurse will provide care to patients receiving chemotherapy and managing associated symptoms.

Continuous cardiac monitoring is a significant focus due to chemotherapy administration.

Common patient diagnoses include various types of cancers and symptom management related to treatment.

Infection prevention protocols and patient fall management are heavily emphasized.

The nurse will have a patient ratio of 1 nurse to 4 patients.

Skills required include interpretation of dysrhythmias, port access, arterial line management, and blood product administration.

Experience with central line management, PICC line management, starting IVs, and assisting with chest tube insertion / removal is necessary.

High flow nasal cannula management and interpretation of ABGs are also required.

Candidates must be aware of the urgent credentialing process for compliance.

Two professional references are required for submission.

At least one reference must be from a supervisory role.

No coworker references will be accepted.

The education must be from an accredited nursing program.

All candidates should be prepared for the fingerprinting process as part of credentialing.
