Position Overview :
We are seeking a motivated and experienced Freight Broker Sales Manager with an existing book of business to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in freight brokerage, exceptional sales skills, and a strong ability to build and maintain relationships with clients and carriers. Youll play a key role in growing our customer base and ensuring seamless transportation solutions.
Key Responsibilities :
- Manage and grow your existing customer base while prospecting new business opportunities.
- Identify and develop new business opportunities through prospecting, cold calling, and networking.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with shippers, carriers, and other key stakeholders.
- Negotiate rates with clients and carriers to maximize profitability while delivering value to all parties.
- Manage the end-to-end freight process, including quoting, booking, tracking, and troubleshooting shipments.
- Collaborate with operations teams to ensure timely and efficient delivery of goods.
- Stay informed about industry trends, market conditions, and competitor activity.
- Meet or exceed sales targets and KPIs consistently.
- Play a key leadership role in building and mentoring a future sales team as the business scales.
Qualifications :
Minimum 2 years in freight brokerage, logistics sales, or 3PL operations.Active shipper relationships and repeat customer base required.Strong understanding of transportation, logistics, and supply chain processes.Exceptional communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.Proficiency in freight brokerage software (e.g., TMS) and Microsoft Office Suite.A results-oriented mindset with a drive to exceed targets.[Include any licensing requirements, if applicable, e.g., a valid freight broker license.]Why Join Us?
