Apex Structural Engineering, a dynamic and expanding structural consulting firm, is in search of an Entry-Level Structural Engineer to join our team.

As an Entry-Level Structural Engineer, candidates will have the opportunity to work on a variety of projects under the guidance of experienced engineers.
They will assist in the design, analysis, and production of design documents, which requires a strong foundation in mathematics, IT proficiency, and outstanding analytical capabilities.
The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, possess creative thinking skills, and demonstrate exceptional problem-solving skills.
Success in this role requires an investigative mindset, accuracy, commercially aware, and excellent communication skills.
Candidates should have a keen interest in ensuring the safety and structural integrity of buildings and other large structures, along with a familiarity with relevant building codes, materials and standards for connection and building design.

Responsibilities :
- Primary responsibilities will include structural analysis for full building design and delegated steel design projects.
- Typical projects would consist of steel structure design, concrete design, steel connection design, miscellaneous steel design, and erection engineering.
- Additional responsibilities include calculation development, steel shop drawing reviews, submittal preparation, RFI development and new calculation development to enhance efficiencies.
- Utilize analysis software programs such as Tekla Structural Designer, Excel, Idea Statica, BlueBeam, RISA Suite, Revit and Ram Connection.
- Review 3-D BIM models to aid in building design, connection design and shop drawing reviews.
- Obtain planning and building regulations approval.
Qualifications :
- Bachelor’s degree in civil or structural engineering.
- Master’s degree in civil or structural engineering is a plus.
- EIT certification.
- A firm understanding of relevant building codes, materials, and standards.
- Enthusiasm and desire to succeed and develop technical skills.
- Excellent communication skills are required, both verbal and written.
- Software skills with any of the following are a plus : Tekla Structural Designer, Excel, Idea Statica, BlueBeam, RISA Suite, Revit and Ram Connection.
- Attention to detail, logical problem-solving skills, and strong organizational skills.
- Ability to thrive under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Passion for steel and concrete design and growing professional knowledge and skills in steel and concrete construction.
Requirements :
- Diploma / Certificate.
- American Citizenship / Legally able to work in the United States of America.
