Job Summary :
Supervises / Performs daily repair and maintenance of fuel dispensing and related equipment in the stores by performing the following duties :
Essential Duties and Responsibilities :
- Supervises daily repair and maintenance of fuel dispensing and related equipment in a timely and professional manner per equipment priority code
- Manages fuel maintenance department for specified number of stores within a prescribed budget and performance factors.
- Responsible for staffing, training, vehicles, and safety of technicians
- Responsible for fuel maintenance inventory, warehouse, and shortage control.
- Reviews maintenance reports for compliance to goals, makes adjustments to staffing and assignments as required.
- Initiates or suggests plans to motivate workers to achieve work goals.
- Maintains time and production records.
- Confers with other supervisors to coordinate activities of individual departments.
- Performs installation and startup of fuel dispensing and related equipment
- Instructs store personnel on proper use of fuel dispensing equipment
- Recommends system changes and upgrades.
- Manages testing of petroleum lines from fuel storage device to dispensers.
- Trains other fuel service technicians.
- Manages documenting fuel service repair work performed and the costs of the work by insuring completion the SWO’s in a timely manner.
- Completes transfer forms for accurate inventory part counts and proper allocation.
- Performs activities of workers supervised.
- Performs other various duties as assigned.

- High school diploma or GED required.
- Minimum of five (5) years of relevant work experience and hold at least two (2) current manufacturer’s training certifications, or achieve within 18 months of promotion.
- Must be certified or demonstrate the skills to repair at least two of the following : Gilbarco Dispensers and / or POS system;
Wayne Dispensers and / or POS systems; Schlumberger Dispensers and / or POS systems; Tank Monitoring Systems.
- Must have and maintain NVDA calibration certification.
- Demonstrate a working knowledge of all gasoline dispensing Systems within the THI network.
- Valid driver’s license and a satisfactory driving record.
- Ability to read and comprehend equipment schematics and wiring diagrams.
- Ability to drive a service vehicle safely.
- Ability to work with various hand and power tools.
- Ability to use digital multi-meter to perform troubleshooting.
- Ability to use leak detector testing equipment.
- Ability to interact with store personnel, customers, and management in a professional courteous manner.
- Ability to work with minimal supervision.
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as operating and procedures manuals.
- Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
- Ability to work flexible hours such as weekends, on-call, evenings and holidays.
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
- Some computer skills.
- Proficient electronic and mechanical skills.

The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to wet or humid conditions and 80% of the work is performed outside.
The employees is regularly stand, walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
The employee is occasionally required to sit and talk or hear. The employee must occasionally lift and / or move up to 50 pounds, bend, twist and climb ladder and work at heights of above eight (8) feet.
The employee will handle liquids, plastic, glass, paper, rubber, petroleum products and may work in conditions that may contain hydrocarbons.
