Executive Assistant – Chief Digital and Information Officer
FedEx is on a mission to make supply chains smarter for everyone. The Chief Digital and Information Officer (CDIO) leads enterprise-wide technology and digital strategy, driving innovation across FedEx’s global network.
Responsibilities
- Manage and prioritize the CDIO’s complex calendar, anticipating conflicts and ensuring alignment across global time zones and business priorities.
- Serve as a liaison between the CDIO, senior leadership, and internal and external stakeholders, ensuring timely and accurate communication.
- Arrange and manage domestic and international travel logistics and itineraries aligned with business objectives.
- Maintain awareness of ongoing projects and initiatives to anticipate needs and provide proactive support.
- Draft and manage correspondence, reports, and communications requiring discretion and judgment.
- Partner closely with the Chief of Staff and other executive assistants across the organization to ensure alignment and continuity.
- Support planning and execution of executive-level meetings and events.
- Coordinate and prepare executive briefings, presentations, and materials for key meetings, reviews, and board-level discussions.
- Maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment in handling sensitive information.
Minimum Education
High school diploma / GED.CAP (Certified Administrative Professional) or one (1) year of related college courses strongly preferred.Minimum Experience
Significant amount (6 years minimum) of related business experience.Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Acumen for organization, filing, communication and suspense follow ups.Ability to filter information to identify action items.Ability to prepare, proofread and manage edits for communications and documents.Discretion and confidentiality.Ability to handle and sometimes distribute sensitive and complex information with professionalism and the utmost discretion.Ability to work across departments and engage with leadership in an efficient and professional manner.Ability to develop internal and external relationships that lead to gaining trust. Excellent human relations and communication skills for interface with all levels of management.Ability to compose correspondence for superior’s signature.Ability to collect and manage large amounts of information.Demonstrated Microsoft Office proficiency, good spelling, punctuation and basic grammar skills.Strong PowerPoint skills, Excel skills and familiarity with Microsoft Teams.Strong project management skills preferred.Preferred Skills and Abilities
Experience supporting C-suite executives in large, complex, or global organizations.Exceptional organizational and time management skills with the ability to anticipate and prioritize effectively.Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills, including comfort interacting with senior executives and external partners.Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and collaboration tools such as Teams and SharePoint.High degree of professionalism, discretion, and judgment when handling confidential or sensitive information.Proven ability to operate effectively in a fast‑paced, matrixed environment.Strong critical thinking and problem‑solving skills with the ability to manage ambiguity and adapt quickly.Demonstrated ability to represent the CDIO with excellence and professionalism at all times.Experience in a business environment.Demonstrated proficiency in typing, writing, spelling, punctuation, and basic grammar skills.Experience and skill in use of business office technology, Microsoft Office software.Domicile
