Carpenter / Foreman – Commercial Construction

Position Summary :

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Carpenter / Foreman with a strong background in commercial construction to join our growing team in Dallas, TX . The ideal candidate will have experience leading crews on complex, large-scale projects including K-12 schools, higher education buildings, civic facilities, and convention center-type structures . This position requires a hands-on leader who can manage daily field operations, ensure quality work, and maintain schedules and safety on the job site.

Key Responsibilities :

• Supervise and lead a team of carpenters and laborers on active commercial job sites
• Interpret and work from construction drawings, specifications, and shop drawings
• Oversee rough and finish carpentry, including blocking, doors, hardware, frames, casework, wall systems, acoustical treatments, and specialty assemblies common in institutional projects
• Coordinate daily tasks with other trades, subcontractors, and project management staff
• Maintain quality control and ensure work meets project standards and specifications
• Enforce and promote compliance with OSHA safety regulations and company safety policies
• Track labor productivity and material usage; assist with site documentation and daily reports
• Support layout and coordination of work according to project schedule and logistics
• Communicate effectively with project teams, architects, and owners when needed
• Ensure timely completion of assigned phases in accordance with project milestones
