A day in the life
You start by getting the shipping floor dialed in—staging the day's shipments so every order is ready to move. You weigh and measure metal, set up the metal-cutting machinery, and run the bandsaw to cut stock to spec. As orders come together, you package materials with care, affix packing slips and material certifications, and prepare each load for shipment.
Throughout the day you hop on the forklift to move product, return unprocessed material back to inventory, and keep the operating system updated—posting transactions and maintaining location accuracy in the ERP. You use lifting equipment safely, load and unload vehicles, and pitch in with housekeeping to keep the shipping area swept, clean, and organized.
