Eligibility Specialist

A company is looking for an Eligibility Specialist to verify eligibility and benefits information for families and students receiving services.

Key Responsibilities

Verify eligibility and benefits for patients, documenting information in appropriate systems

Manage escalations of complex eligibility issues and communicate with families as needed

Act as a liaison between patients, Care Coordinators, and insurance carriers to ensure proper information collection

Required Qualifications

Prior work experience in eligibility or related patient intake and / or revenue cycle management functions in mental or behavioral health services

A passion for supporting the mental health of students, including those from diverse communities

Ability to learn quickly and adapt in an early-stage, rapidly-growing organization

Experience working with health insurance carriers in relevant states

Experience in pediatric mental health and / or school-based clinical services is a plus
