Job Title : Electronics Technician
Location : Talladega, AL
Schedule : 9 / 80 Schedule Monday–Friday 7 : 00 AM–4 : 30 PM (Every Other Friday Off)
Compensation : $20–$27 per hour
Position Summary :
The Electronics Technician supports development engineering activities by performing routine technical functions related to the design, testing, checkout, fabrication, modification, and assembly of electronic and electromechanical systems. This role involves working with experimental design circuitry, prototype models, and specialized test equipment across analog, digital, and video circuit applications. The technician will operate under defined plans and guidance from senior staff to ensure systems meet design specifications.
Key Responsibilities :
- Conduct routine testing, troubleshooting, and fault isolation on development systems and equipment.
- Assemble and modify prototype models and test setups based on schematics, diagrams, and written instructions.
- Perform operational tests and diagnose malfunctions down to the component level.
- Execute defined engineering tests and collect relevant data.
- Utilize diagnostic equipment such as oscilloscopes, voltmeters (VOM / DVM), and signal generators.
- Complete minor repairs and quality inspections of electronic devices.
- Accurately document work activities and input data into computer systems.
- Collaborate effectively within a team environment and follow established quality standards.
Qualifications :
Associate degree in Electronics, or completion of a short certificate program in electronics, or equivalent military training in electronics theory and repair.Minimum of 1 year of relevant experience in electronics testing or repair.Preferred Skills and Abilities :
Proficiency in soldering techniques.Strong teamwork and work ethic.Basic computer literacy.Ability to lift up to 35 lbs and stand for extended periods.
