Senior Construction Project Manager

Oneida General Mechanical Corporation (GMC) is actively seeking a highly motivated, full-time Senior Construction Project Manager based remotely in Texas. This person will work remotely and travel throughout Fort Worth and Dallas region.

Responsible for the safe completion of the project(s) within budget, on schedule, within the Company's quality standards, and to the customer's satisfaction. The duties include leading the project team on all aspects of the project including schedule, budget, risk mitigation, safety, and quality control. The Project Manager's duties include initiating action and managing the activities of the project to mitigate risk and to achieve successful project completion. This position also requires business development acumen and expectations for active participation in the acquisition of new work. In a doer / seller role, this position will require participation in the identification and capture of new projects, client business development, and proposal preparation.

Key Responsibilities :

• Plans and directs activities of designated project to ensure that goals or objectives of the project are accomplished within the prescribed time frame and funding parameters.
• Create and review project proposals or plan to determine time frame, funding limitations, procedures for accomplishing the project, staffing requirements, and allotment of available resources to various phases of the project.
• Ensure project safety and quality is properly incorporated into job planning and execution.
• Establish the work plan and staffing for each phase of the project fully understanding the project scope and potential risks.
• Arrange for recruitment or assignment of project personnel.
• Confer with project staff to outline work plan and set goals, assign duties, responsibilities, and scope of authority.
• Direct and coordinate activities of project personnel to ensure the project progresses on schedule and within the prescribed budget.
• Generate status reports prepared in conjunction with project personnel and modify schedules and plans as required (i.e. weekly and monthly review) and prepare a monthly analysis.
• Analyze cost and schedule problems and initiate new alternatives that will bring the project back on course, and initiate action to execute the plan. Look for and analyze items with excessive costs.
• Manage Contractual agreements and change orders.
• Prepare project reports for management, clients, or others clearly keeping everyone involved aware of project progress and challenges.
• Confer with project personnel to provide technical advice and resolve problems.
• Manage issues and disputes between workers, clients, and subcontractors professionally and timely.
• Ensure that submittals and progress payments are processed timely.
• Coordinates project activities with activities of government regulatory or other governmental agencies.
• Manage supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws.
