Commercial HVAC Install Technician

The Commercial HVAC Install Technician is responsible for installing heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems in commercial buildings. This role involves working with various HVAC equipment, ensuring installations are completed to the highest standards of quality and safety, and providing excellent customer service.

Responsibilities

• Install HVAC systems, including furnaces, air handlers, indoor coils, UV lights, air cleaners, and humidifiers.
• Install outdoor coils and outdoor units.
• Design, fabricate, and install duct fittings and ducts as required.
• Ensure all installations comply with manufacturer specifications and company standards.
• Diagnose and repair refrigerants, TXV, compressors, and other HVAC components.
• Perform start-up on air conditioning systems when needed.
• Check electrical wiring, thermostats, and distribution systems for any issues.
• Ensure all work adheres to laws, regulations, and safety standards.
• Maintain accurate records of installations and services performed.
• Conduct inspections to ensure systems are functioning correctly.
• Provide high-quality customer service and maintain a professional rapport with clients.
• Guide and advise customers on selecting the most appropriate air quality systems.
• Address client concerns and ensure customer satisfaction.
• Work under minimum or no supervision.
• Provide knowledge, training, and guidance to HVAC installer helpers.
• Collaborate with other team members to ensure efficient project completion.

Essential Skills

Experience in construction, blueprint reading, and installation. Proficiency in mechanical systems and hand tools. Knowledge in piping, plumbing, and general labor related to HVAC systems.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Ability to diagnose and repair HVAC components like refrigerants, TXV, and compressors. Experience in performing start-ups on air conditioning systems. Capability to check and troubleshoot electrical wiring, thermostats, and distribution systems.

This is a Contract position based out of Lexington, KY.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $37.00 / hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
