The University of Miami Health System is initiating a search for an Assistant Professor of Clinical, Infectious Diseases. The incumbent will have clinical and research responsibilities within the Department of Medicine. He / she will serve as an attending physician in the Division of Infectious Diseases, with focus on the care and treatment of adult patients with infectious diseases on medical and surgical services. This includes outpatient care, as well as inpatient attending responsibilities for the division (on inpatient units at UHealth and / or Jackson Memorial Hospital).He / she will be involved with medical student, resident, and fellow education. He / she may be asked to lead an educational or administrative project within the division or to participate in research programs within the division.

Teaching also includes participating in the supervision of medical students, residents, and fellows who are involved in direct patient care. As a faculty member, we also anticipate that you will be an active participant – attending meetings, Grand Rounds, and other University scholarly activities.
Desired Qualifications :
Awarded degree of MD / DO
Infectious Diseases fellowship
Valid American Board Certification in Internal Medicine
Valid and unrestricted Florida Medical License or eligible to apply Board Certified / Board Eligible for Infectious Diseases
