About the Opportunity :

The Intervention Specialist supports educational and behavioral goals for all students, focusing on those with an Individualized Education Program (IEP). Responsibilities include :

• Collaborating with classroom teachers to interpret student abilities and disabilities, assist with intervention strategies, and modify curricula as needed.
• Conducting diagnostic and functional behavior assessments.
• Developing and implementing behavior improvement plans.
• Leading IEP meetings and writing IEP goals and objectives.
• Working towards student achievement and school culture goals.
• Applying research-based teaching practices and integrating culturally responsive methods.
• Advising a designated group of students and communicating regularly with families about their child's progress.
• Participating in non-instructional activities like social events and field trips.
• Performing other duties as assigned.
