ABOUT THE ROLE
Support the operating companies by maximizing benefits associated with the strategic sourcing of a portfolio of commodities with focus on mining. This position is based in Addison, TX.
WHAT YOU'LL ACCOMPLISH
- Lead strategic sourcing teams within the operating company
- Understand operating company needs, perform market research, anticipate strategic opportunities and keep key stakeholders informed through effective and managed communication
- Establish category sourcing strategies and review them regularly
- Achieve targets for strategic sourcing activities; spend coverage, compliance rates and benefits generation, track implementation, compliance and benefits against targets of selected categories
- Define benefit targets and ensure targets and Key Performance Indicators are achieved on a set portfolio of spend categories
- Perform strategic sourcing of categories (internal data analysis, cost analysis, supplier and market analysis)
- Drive, develop and execute negotiation strategy with suppliers while managing supplier performance on a structured basis
- Execute contracts that optimize benefits to the operating company (e.g. performance based contracts) while implementing contracts in business units
- Negotiate complex agreements that involve significant coordination with large cross functional teams.
- Develop and implement processes to provide Budget information as needed

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOr
Education : Bachelor's degree or years of equivalent experience
Additional Education Preferred : Master's degree
Field of Study Preferred : Purchasing, Business, Economics or Engineering
Required Work Experience : 5-7 years
Required Technical Skills : Proficient / Advance in MS Office Specifically Excel and PPT, Google Mail & Drive. Basic SAP knowledge or equivalent
