About The Position

Job Title : Labor & Delivery Registered Nurse

Experience : Minimum of 2 years required

License : Must have active state license

Certifications : ACLS, BLS, NRP, and Fetal Monitoring certification required

Must-Have :

Experience in antepartum care and procedures

Experience in fetal monitoring

IV therapy and phlebotomy skills

Medication administration experience

Labor and delivery management skills

Neonatal care experience in the delivery room

Pain management skills

Postpartum care skills

Professional knowledge of isolation precautions and vaccine administration

Description :

Position : Labor & Delivery Registered Nurse

Work on an 18-bed unit.

Requires a minimum of 2 years of experience.

First-timers are accepted for this position.

No weekend requirements.

No on-call requirements.

Floating to pediatric unit may be required based on need.

Open to accommodating block schedules; discuss requests with management.

Locals accepted with no radius restrictions.

Ideally, no more than 5 days off requested.

Client may cancel up to 36 hours per assignment without payment for canceled hours.

Special requirements include experience with sterile speculum exams, non-stress tests, and triaging obstetrical patients.

Neonatal care includes APGAR scores, infant identification, and metabolic screenings.

Pain management includes skills in epidural anesthesia and general pain assessment.

Experience in postpartum care for patients with a variety of delivery types is necessary.

Community hospital experience is preferred.

Charting will be done using a specified electronic health record system.

Modules will be completed virtually on the first day, and continuing education will be required annually.
