Senior Process Lead
San Jose, CR (Hybrid work model)
In the role of Senior Process Lead in a Procurement service line, you will be required to follow all predefined procedures including buying goods and services on behalf of client’s procurement organization, choosing suppliers, and negotiating prices to ensure that the right amount of the product or service is received when it is needed. Responsible for all activities related to the sourcing and procurement of Commodities and Services in indirect materials. Main responsibilities include but are not limited to identify and implement cost optimization initiatives / projects, negotiations with suppliers on commercials to achieve best price, focusing on KPI delivery by catalogs / contracts creation and management, running sourcing processes such as RFQ / RFP / RFI.
Responsibilities :
- Working closely with Indirect Business Services category Portfolio Leads / Senior Stakeholders (Facilities Management, Insurance, Office supplies & equipment, events) on sourcing strategy creation and implementation
- Identifying and implementing sourcing / cost optimization projects
- Project management / Working on multiple projects at the same time with tight deadlines
- Negotiating with suppliers on contracts / prices / payment terms / catalogs etc. with compliance in place
- Running sourcing processes such as RFQ / RFP / RFI
- Running spend analytics to identify sourcing projects
- Developing savings calculation methodologies and getting signoffs from stakeholders
- Managing professional relationships with stakeholders with good understanding when / how to escalate, how to drive behavior for achieving targets, how to plan and conduct structured follow-up with all stakeholders (including suppliers)
- Risk identification and proactively drive decisions / outcomes
- Runs cross functional sourcing team activities associated with selection processes - maximizing marketplace leverage, determining competitive alternatives, and prioritizing business objectives. Promotes team consensus.
- Managing supplier selection process and achieving cost savings on services projects as part of a highly structured procurement process.
- Identify opportunities to derive PnL savings through supplier aggregation, spend consolidation thereby improving the supplier base
- Prepares issues, analyzes, negotiates, and administers RFIs (Requests for Information), RFPs (Requests for Proposal), SOW (Statements of Work), CR (Change Requests), and terminations
- Manage End to End process, sourcing and procurement roles
Qualifications : Basic :
Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent required from an accredited institution. Will also consider three years of progressive experience in the specialty in lieu of every year of education.At least 6 years of related experience in the strategic sourcing and procurement domain.Preferred :
CPM / CPIM / PMP / SAP-SRM certified is a plus.Knowledge of Sourcing techniques in practice - Spend Analytics, strategic sourcing methodology, negotiation, saving levers, contracting, Catalogue managementStrong Communication Skills and Customer Services OrientedStrong project management skillsExcellent analytical skills / ability to analyze and summarize cost data to identify potential for cost optimizationsStrong in tasks prioritization and organization to assure all tasks are completed in a timely manner based on Client needs and the tasks are recorded, monitored, and closed out in an efficient manner.Strong commercial / contract negotiations skillsCapability to escalate and drive behavior for achieving targetsExperience with sourcing systems – Coupa / SAP / Ariba – good to haveCatalog management / contract management expertiseMust be extremely proficient with all PC applications – Word, Excel, Power Point, project management toolsBringing value through innovative thinkingFluent in Spanish, English, and Portuguese effective with business communication.Strong Communication Skills and Customer Services OrientedMust be self-motivated and proactiveMust be a team player and flexible to take up individual ownership of tasksWork Model :
This role is Hybrid Work model. You will typically be in the office in San Jose, CR one day per week. Should have the flexibility to be onsite, as needed, for meetings, training or when requested.
