Project Manager
Under general direction, serves as the Project Manager for the Department of Innovation & Technology (DoIT) supporting the Enterprise Project Management Office (EPMO), Unit A, performing project management and control functions for assigned projects. Reviews Enterprise Program and Project technical and operational performance metric reports related to DoIT programs and projects created by the EPMO. Provides state contract and vendor management support on assigned agency projects to enforce adherence to project scope, budget, timeline, quality and deliverables. Implements and evaluates standardized policies and procedures as identified by the Enterprise Project Management Office. Assists with directing program and project management functions for process documentation and automation. Keeps abreast of new developments in the information technology field by continuing education through online training platforms, meetings, training sessions, seminars, and conferences to increase familiarity with and remain current on products, vendors, techniques, and procedures. Performs other duties as assigned or required which are reasonably within the scope of the duties enumerated above. Minimum Qualifications : Requires knowledge, skill and mental development equivalent to four (4) years of college, preferably with coursework in management information systems, data processing, telecommunications or related fields. Requires prior experience equivalent to three (3) years progressively responsible administrative experience in management information systems, data processing, or telecommunications in a public or business organization.
