THOR Solutions is actively seeking a mid-level Electronics Technician to support Landing Craft Air Cushion (LCAC) Command, Control, Communications, Computers, Navigation & Electrical (C4N&E) activities at Naval Surface Warfare Center Panama City Division (NSWC PCD) in Panama City, FL . An ideal candidate will have training and experience with electronics soldering and repair in a U.S. military or professional environment.

Typical Responsibilities :

• Provide production manufacture, product repair, field service, and material handling support.
• Support the build and repair of electronics equipment.
• Complete complex technical functions in support of engineers including set up, operation, maintenance, modification, circuit testing, calibration, and troubleshooting of electronic / electromechanical components and systems, experimental design circuitry, and prototype models.
• Perform repair and maintenance tasks on equipment that is complex, with a variety of complicated components.
• Utilize government documentation such as engineering drawings, technical manuals, and repair standards to conduct maintenance tasks.
• Install, overhaul, and test equipment in accordance with customer requirements.

Location :  Full time onsite at NSWC PCD in Panama City, FL.

Travel Requirements : This position is anticipated to require up to 20% travel, including OCONUS / overseas travel, to support repair and installation efforts.

Typical Physical Activity : Repair, fabrication, and installation activities in engineering lab spaces and shipboard environments. May include : repetitive motion, soldering in a ventilated space, maneuvering large objects with human / equipment assistance, traversing ladders and inclines / declines, climbing, and navigating tight / confined shipboard spaces.

US Citizenship Required :   Due to the requirements of the federal contract that this position supports, U.S. citizenship is required. Citizenship will be confirmed via I-9 / E-Verify at the start of employment.

Existing Secret Security Clearance Required : This position requires an existing DoD Secret security clearance. A qualified candidate will already possess an Active or Interim Secret security clearance. An otherwise strongly qualified candidate with highly relevant experience but no current security clearance may be considered.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities :

Miniature / Microminiature (2M) certification in accordance with NAVSEA TE000-AA-MAN-010 / 2M.
