Responsibilities
Conduct machine and process capability studies; implement improvements to maximize efficiencyDevelop, refine, and troubleshoot CNC processes, tooling, and G-code programmingSupport APQP, FMEA, and Control Plan creation and review activitiesCommission and validate new manufacturing equipment and processesEvaluate suppliers, review technical offers, and coordinate indirect material purchasesDefine and monitor process parameters, ensuring adherence to specificationsWrite and maintain work instructions, training materials, and process documentationLead feasibility studies, implement new or modified process solutions, and support automation initiativesPerform root cause analysis on process failures, alarms, and customer complaintsParticipate in 8D problem-solving activities and cross-functional continuous improvement projectsSupport robotic programming, machine controls, and automation enhancementsSupervise interns and train employees on new systems and processesMaintain process history, automation logs, and contribute to knowledge sharing across teamsRequirements
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related disciplineMinimum 5 years of experience in high-volume manufacturing (IATF environment preferred)CNC turning and CAD (or other 3D modeling) experience requiredStrong knowledge of FANUC CNC controllers (Siemens CNC preferred)Experience with Swiss-style and conventional turning machinesSkilled in CNC program development, tooling, and interpreting gear data (CMM preferred)Ability to read schematics (mechanical, electrical, pneumatic)Strong project management, troubleshooting, and data analysis skillsProficiency in Microsoft Office with strong statistical and documentation skillsNice to Haves
Six Sigma Green Belt certification or other CI methodologiesHands-on experience with robot programming and automation integrationFamiliarity with ISO14001 and advanced quality system standardsPrior experience leading capital equipment commissioning or feasibility studiesInterested in hearing more?
