Position Overview

Job Title : OneTrust Specialist

Location : Remote

Employment Type : Full-Time / Contract

This is a remote position.

We are seeking a technically proficient OneTrust Specialist to support and optimize the enterprise-wide implementation of the OneTrust platform. The ideal candidate will be responsible for configuring, integrating, and maintaining OneTrust modules—primarily focusing on Data Discovery and Privacy Management . This role will work closely with cross-functional teams including IT, data governance, and privacy to ensure secure, scalable, and compliant data practices.

Key Responsibilities

• Platform Configuration & Administration : Set up and manage Worker Nodes, monitor system performance, and perform debugging as required. Configure and administer OneTrust modules including Data Discovery, Data Mapping, and Privacy Rights (DSAR). Customize scan profiles, classification policies, and sensitive data element definitions. Maintain and configure integration points with enterprise systems including APIs, file shares, databases, and cloud platforms (e.g., SharePoint, AWS, GCP).
• Scanning & Data Discovery : Design and schedule Metadata, Classification, Discovery, and Deep scans aligned with business and regulatory priorities. Implement incremental scanning using change data capture (CDC), timestamps, and file hashes. Optimize scanning performance through throttling, batch processing, and usage of read-only replicas.
• Technical Integration : Integrate OneTrust with platforms such as Informatica IDMC, MuleSoft, and Azure. Set up secure connections using JDBC / ODBC, APIs, OAuth, etc. Support development of custom connectors or API extensions where needed.
• Monitoring & Maintenance : Monitor scan performance, data volume, and classification accuracy. Troubleshoot and resolve scan failures, access issues, and system anomalies. Maintain operational and compliance dashboards and alerting systems.
• Documentation & Governance Support : Maintain documentation on scan configurations, metadata, and technical SOPs. Assist data governance teams with policy management, remediation workflows, and compliance reporting. Contribute to the upkeep of data inventories, flow diagrams, and data lineage tracking.
