Director of Product Marketing

The Opportunity

We're hiring a Director of Product Marketing to lead the next chapter of Hatch's adult business. This is a strategic, cross-functional leadership role that will shape our go-to-market strategy, deepen customer understanding, and position our platform as the most effective behavior change system for better sleep.

You'll own the voice of the customer, be a key partner in segmentation work, and use insights to drive positioning and impact product growth strategy. You'll partner closely with leaders across Product, Design, Creative, Content, Analytics and Growth, and serve as the marketing voice at the table for roadmap planning and customer experience design.

You'll also help define how we scale PMM at Hatchbuilding systems, frameworks, and eventually team leadership structures to take our storytelling and growth strategy to the next level.

What You'll Do

Voice of the Customer

  • Synthesize qualitative and quantitative inputs (CX, research, usage data, creative testing) into usable insights
  • Turn feedback into clarity for Product and Creative teamsshaping how we build, message, and grow

Audience Segmentation & Customer Insight

  • Co-lead segmentation strategy with Research partners
  • Translate insight into messaging and product priorities
  • Roadmap & Lifecycle Partnership

  • Influence product roadmap planning with insight into what features and future products will resonate, sell, and retain
  • Collaborate closely with Product to increase attach, deepen usage, and build long-term habit loops
  • Help guide the evolution of our adult subscription-first strategy, including cohort retention, LTV expansion, and churn
  • Strategic Positioning & Messaging

  • Define and evolve the adult narrativefrom competitive intelligence to product and pricing strategies to brand to subscription value
  • Own messaging architecture and customer-facing story across all marketing surfaces
  • Help frame adult product offering in emotionally resonant and commercially effective ways
  • Go-to-Market Strategy

  • Lead GTM planning across new product, content, and feature launches
  • Drive sequencing, channel alignment, and cross-functional integration
  • Ensure every launch ladders up to long-term growth and engagement
  • AI Fluency & Modern Marketing Tools

  • Leverage AI to streamline insight gathering, accelerate messaging development, customer journey mapping, and test narratives at scale
  • Champion AI tools across the marketing teamfrom creative generation to research synthesis
  • Cross-Functional Stewardship

  • Be the unifier across Product, Design, Brand, Content, Creative, Analytics, Growth, to bring to life a consistent customer experience
  • Lead brief development, campaign alignment, and storytelling consistency
  • Set the bar for customer-first, insight-driven marketing that drives business impact
  • What You'll Bring

  • 812 years of product marketing or adjacent experience in consumer tech, wellness, or subscription
  • Experience leading go-to-market strategy across physical + digital ecosystems
  • Proven track record of influencing roadmap, shaping segmentation, and driving retention
  • Fluency with modern AI tools from day oneboth to move faster and raise the bar on messaging, insight development, and campaign execution
  • Strong writing and narrative instinctsyou bring clarity and emotion to every message
  • Comfort operating across data, creative, and product conversations
  • Experience mentoring or managing PMMs, with interest in team-building over time
