UTHealth Houston's Neurology department is hiring for a full-time, benefits-eligible Research Coordinator II to join their team of professionals. The Research Coordinator II will work independently, with minimal supervision, to manage investigator-initiated clinical projects. This includes general study administration, proposal budget, protocol review and implementation, conducting research, and project closeout.

The Research Coordinator II will be responsible for accurate and timely source documents, data collection, documentation, entry, and reporting, including timely response to sponsor queries. Responsible for compiling and reporting on each study, including information related to protocol activity, accrual data, workload, and other research information. In addition, the Research Coordinator II will coordinate with team members to screen and recruit study participants to study.

Position Summary

Assists with the day-to-day administrative project management and may provide scientific direction for research projects of considerable scope and complexity.

Position Key Accountabilities

Certification / Skills

Bilingual Spanish / English preferred, yet not required. Excellent communication skills both written and verbal. Working knowledge of MS Office.

Minimum Education

Bachelor's degree in a related field or relevant experience in lieu of education.

Minimum Experience

Two (2) years of relevant experience. May substitute required experience with equivalent years of education beyond the minimum education requirement.
