Department Information

After more than four years of planning and groundwork, the ambitious Tech Square Phase 3 (TS3) initiative is well underway. With two impressive towers at its core connected by a shared elevator, the TS3 project, slated to finish in 2026, encompasses 416,500 square feet and includes a large outdoor plaza for street-level retail.

The building will feature two striking structures : the 14-story Scheller Tower and the 18-story George Tower, respectively named after generous benefactors Ernest "Ernie" Scheller Jr. (IM 1952, HON Ph.D. 2013) and Bill William W. "Bill" George (IE 1964, HON Ph.D. 2008) and his wife Penny.

Job Summary

Oversee building maintenance and mail / package delivery services for multiple building units. Includes operation of courier services between multiple locations as well as in-house and contract multi-building maintenance. Responsible for setting employee goals, assessing performance, providing feedback, and making pay recommendations. This position will interact on a consistent basis with : management and staff personnel within assigned buildings, campus support units, contractors and vendors. This position typically will advise and counsel : management and staff personnel, campus support units, contractors and vendors. This position will supervise : building maintenance and delivery services supervisors and staff.

Responsibilities

Job Duty 1 -

Schedule and oversee in-house and contractor performed building maintenance activities (plumbing, HVAC, structure repair, renovations, etc.).

Job Duty 2 -

Oversee operations of multi-building mail and delivery services.

Job Duty 3 -

Provide direction and oversight of construction projects.

Job Duty 4 -

Manage construction project budgets and Building & Delivery Services operating budgets.

Job Duty 5 -

Prepare and maintain records and reports related to building project and maintenance activities.

Job Duty 6 -

Liaise with GT Facilities management and vendors regarding maintenance and custodial issues and services.

Job Duty 7 -

Organize, assign and supervise building and delivery services personnel; plan and oversee personnel development.

Job Duty 8 -

Perform other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications

Educational Requirements

Technical Diploma, Associate's Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience

Required Experience

Five to six years of job related experience

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities

SKILLS

This job requires working knowledge of building operations, maintenance and mail services. Additionally skills in organization, leadership / supervision, customer service, vendor and contract relations, project management and use of office related computer applications are required.

Pay Range : $75,268.00 - $102,364.00

Salary will commensurate with experience and education
