Partnering with Finance Leaders to Build High-Performing Teams
Our client is looking for an Accounting Manager. This position follows a hybrid schedule, office located in Torrance, CA 90254.
Responsibilities
- Oversee daily accounting activities and manage the monthly close process for corporate entities and / or self‑storage properties.
- Prepare and review monthly journal entries and account reconciliations.
- Record consolidation and elimination entries and produce consolidated financial statements along with related analytics.
- Support the Controller in managing treasury and accounts payable functions.
- Assist the Controller with developing and implementing procedures and internal controls to enhance departmental efficiency and improve the accuracy of the financial close process.
- Coordinate training for new hires and identify ongoing training needs for existing team members.
- Supervise the preparation of periodic financial reports and ensure compliance with GAAP or other applicable financial reporting standards.
- Collaborate with external auditors and provide necessary documentation for the annual audit.
- Perform financial analyses to support business decisions.
- Ensure adherence to property‑level tax obligations, including sales and property tax filings and payments.
- Perform additional tasks and projects as assigned.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or related field is required.5–7 years of professional accounting experience, with strong preference for candidates with both real‑estate and fund accounting exposure.CPA certification preferred.Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.Exceptional written and verbal communication abilities.Highly motivated, creative thinker with a proactive, self‑driven work style.Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and organizational capabilities.Demonstrated ability to take a hands‑on approach and collaborate effectively with team members.Capable of working independently as well as within a team environment.Proven ability to manage multiple assignments and priorities effectively.Salary : $120,000 - $140,000
