Responds to and documents situations that threaten the safety and security of staff, providers, patients, and visitors. Responds to all emergency codes, drills for assistance and control. Operations provide for the welfare and safety of the other officers/guards on duty. Reports all security violations and performs duties promptly and accurately. Follows safety procedures to help ensure that a safer and more secure work environment is maintained for staff, patients, patient watch, and customers. Tours and inspects facilities and grounds frequently to assist in maintaining a safer and more secure environment. Assists employees with security related matters. Works varied assignments and shifts. Uses integrity and honesty when performing assigned security duties. A certain degree of creativity and latitude is required. Reports to the Director of Public Safety. Bachelor's degree in a related area and/or at least 5 years of experience in the field or in a related area.
